YikeBike – innovative commuter transport
Here’s something disruptive – a new electric commuter bike. The YikeBike has been developed by Grant Ryan, from my home town of Christchurch, New Zealand. I got a sneak view of it when it was an ultra secret skunk works project, its great to see it now revealed. It has been approached from a systems engineering point of view and has many clever features. Strange how the old Penny Farthing idea still has legs! An interesting aside on Grant, he is famous for his advocacy of daily time spent on a couch thinking through ideas (I’ve seen the couch) check out the Unlimited magazine’s ‘Serial Entrepreneur’ interview with Grant.
